How to keep the date selection and other filters between report pages in Looker Studio?

When working with interactive reports in Looker Studio, there is often a need for selected filters (for example, date range, region, or traffic channel) to be retained when navigating between report pages. This helps avoid resetting filters every time and makes the report more user-friendly.

How to enable filter retention

1. Open the report in edit mode.
2. Go to any page-level filter element (for example, the date selector). Open the context menu by right-clicking on the element.In the settings, find the option Make Report-level and enable it.

Now, when a user changes the filter value on one page, this selection will automatically be saved and applied on other pages of the report.
